On Thursday, May 12th, 2016 a contract is signed between NEVS and the Fujian Motor Industry Group Co. This contract allows NEVS to acquire fifty-percent of shares with Fujian Motors Group and fifteen-percent shares with State Research Information Technology (SRIT). Fujian is a national Motor company that is which is included in the "Big three" automotive industries of the Fujian Province in China. This is not to mistake with the business joint venture with Auto Company DFM, where Dongfeng and NEV together are exchanging global purchasing and safety regulatory knowledge in exchange for support and assitance for NEVS research and development for sustainable Electric Vehicles.
This is yet another great addition to diverse resources and formulation of a team between two differing countries with a very purposeful future in technology. It is great that the SAAB direction has regrown to a sustainable direction. Many do not like the joining co-op with China. China is an ancient culture, a nation of workers, minds and more, to move for a rightful purpose. The successful growth and between Sweden and China automotive concepts for the future, shows action necessary to make a change in the way we consume non-renewable energy.
Several days ago, news broke out about the use of the SAAB name under NEVS production of automobiles. Stated by Radio Sweden, SAAB may use the name in future vehicle production. This is consistent with similar information dated near 2013, reported in wikipedia for NEVS under History.
Good news is nothing has fully resolved presently about its name. I am positive SAAB owners and others would like the name to live on instead die out. This news buzz, rattles just the name, and throws off the real focus of production and new vehicle innovations. What will hold for new production? I certainly think SAAB can regain its edge on the market. And certainly think future technology is one market that will allow great revenue value for its Swedish brand.
For nearly a month, The Swedish company NEVS which took over all SAAB intelligence and main factory in Trollhattan, Sweden (2012), and Dongfeng, one of China's largest automaker companies, have been working together to improve technical strengths with Donfeng's distribution network and global purchasing.
Now the two companies are on a joint extended agreement, where Dongfeng will learn more from NEVS to pass specific safety regulations in markets over seas (Europe and United States) in order to expand business outside of China.
In return, Dongfeng will help construction and research and development (R&D) of electric vehicles at , what will be NEVS second production plant located in Tianjin, China.
