Post Looking to Rent Room or Apartment for the Summer
Hey all,

I have an internship in Lake St. Louis this summer and would prefer not to live at home.

The office is here. If you or someone you know has a room or apartment available for rent I'd be interested. I did some quick searching on craigslist and it was all pretty expensive. My price range is pretty low - my dad wants $500/month for room + board so, though I'd like to not live at home again, I'm not going to be unreasonable about it and pay $400 more every month "just because".

You all should have my contact info, but just PM me if you don't for whatever reason.

Thanks!
David

Two friends just moved in/signed leases at places so I don't know of any roommates for you.

This is prob. if not most definitely of no help, but I've seen some pretty good prices on HUD homes. There was a house in my subdivision that PO bought after foreclosure, invested a lot of time/money; new roof, siding, wood floors, etc. It popped up thru HUD, which I checked out. Bidding/selling for less than half of value of avg surrounding homes. Only a couple hundred a mo. mortgage.

Saw some other properties that didn't look half bad as low as in 30k's.

Everything seems like it moves kind of fast. Only have like 5 days after submitting a bid to turn in paperwork and prove you have financing available.

I guess you could find someone looking for one of those places and pay them rent.

Anyway,
Maybe post an add up (like you did here) on CL?
